WMCC sees more than 2,200 new patients annually and averages nearly 80,000 patient visits. Through continuing investments in technology and clinical excellence patients are experiencing benefits of earlier detection and more effective treatment procedures. As a result, we are able to treat and beat more cancers, and ensure a better quality of life for cancer survivors. WMCC employs more than 120 people who together have created a totally unique clinical environment to ensure the most effective fight against the disease. Our doctors, nurses and staff inspire hope and confidence through their attitudes and outlooks. Happily, it isn’t just wishful thinking. We are winning against more types of cancers today than at any other time in history. And we’re not doing it alone. Our community has the most generous and gifted volunteers one could imagine. At WMCC, more than 100 volunteers brighten the day of all who walk through our doors. Greeters offer assistance, our well-received coffee cart volunteers share refreshments, and even pet and music therapy programs bring comfort, and a personal coach is available to every new patient. To assist patients as they re-engage in life, WMCC offers a plethora of complementary therapies such as tai chi, daily massage, yoga, conditioning, and a fitness room. In WMCC’s quest to be nationally recognized for quality cancer care, we have pursued and received accreditations for quality care by the American College of Radiology Imaging Network, the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Radiation Oncology, and the first of only a few by the American Society of Clinical Oncology with its Quality Oncology Practice Initiative certification.
