My Experience with Cancer

I was diagnosed with Stage II Invasive Ductal Carcinoma at the age of 33. I had a bilateral mastectomy followed by reconstruction, but was diagnosed with a recurrence at 33. I have just celebrated my one year post treatment anniversary. Doctors have now found an unusual growth in my uterus so I am waiting to have it removed and tested for malignancy.

Hobbies

Singing, sleeping, listening to music, playing with my kids, enjoying life in Hawaii

We must always be advocates for our own health care. No one knows our body better than we do. If you feel something is wrong, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Know Me

I am a wife, mother of 2 boys (14 and 7), Radio DJ, Professional singer, actress in local theater, movies and television shows and a writer for the Big Island Weekly newspaper. I am also on the Advisory Council for the American Cancer Society East Hawaii.
