My Experience with Cancer

My brother, Steven Guarin, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when he was 19. He underwent CHOP (chemo) for 6 cycles at Jackson Memorial in Miami, FL. He was pronounced in remission, and 3 months later relapsed. He underwent ICE, a much more savage chemo, and had an autologous bone marrow transplant from his own marrow (stem cell research). Everything went well and smooth, and a short month later he relapsed and his Lymphoma was now in his marrow and parts of his spine. He is currently being treated with SGN-35, and experimental drug that has made him do a complete 360, thank God.

Reason for Being Here

I wanted to meet other survivors and fighters and sek support as well as give it to whoever needs it. Cancer is a tough battle but a beatable one at that!
