My Experience with Cancer

Mine…Thyroid. It was discovered when my son was 9 months old. I thoroughly believe that I found my strength to fight it because of my son. I want to be here to raise my kids and see them raise their kids. I now have 2 kids and a fabulous husband! My Mom has had breast cancer, my SIL also had breast cancer, my Aunt had skin cancer, many family members on my Dad’s side have passed away from different cancers. My best friend is now going through RADS for breast cancer and she is ONLY 28 y/o & has an 11 month old daughter (my God daughter). Cancer is a horrible disease and I wish I could go through it for her so my God daughter could have her Mommy back…

Reason for Being Here

Many family members have had various types of Cancer and many have passed on from Cancer and “not knowing” and feeling alone is the hardest part. So I hope by being here I can make it easier for others to fight and survive! I recently learned my best friend has been diagnosed with Cancer and has started RADS. I also introduced her to this site so she may also be a member here. :)

Aloha! I am a survivor & a supporter. I live out on the Eastern Plains of colorful Colorado, on our 40 acre Ranch. We rescue local animals (horses, llamas, etc.) whose owners can no longer care for them for one reason or another.
