I’m a married mom of 5. 1 daughter age 21 and 4 boys ages 12, 17, 19 & 19. I’m addicted to facebook, myspace, mafia wars, and hatchlings. I also love to read, write and putter around in the flower beds. Been known to bait a mean hook and can throw a fastball too! I have a lot of family history of cancer. Both grandmas had breast cancer, my grandpa died of stomach cancer, and my mom lost her battle with ovarian cancer this past month on Nov. 21, 2009. Believe it or not, I am BRCA negative. Mom also had thyroid cancer many years ago. My mom’s only sister died a year before of unspecified cancer. By the time it was found, it had spread so far an origination site was not determined.She gone within a week and I was there at her side through it all. What sad, but beautiful experience. Does that make sense? I learned more about myself in that week than I had in all my 40 years combined. I had a cousin die at age 17 of non-hodgkins lymphoma. Guess I was a walking time bomb, it was bound to happen. But I am going to beat it! I am too stubborn and ornery with too much trouble to get into to let this stop me. Relay For Life is my passion! I eat, sleep and breathe Relay. I have captained a team now for 4 years and served on the planning committee for 3. My claim to fame is that I have the clan with Most Team Spirit 3 out of the 4 years! I love Mom’s Pit Crew!
