My Experience with Cancer

I haven’t personally had cancer, but I’m in school right now to become a Pediatric Oncologist. As I was growing up, I saw one of my best friends pass away from a brain tumor. She was one of the biggest inspirations in my life. Some of my relatives also passed away from cancer throughout the years. Those events gave me such a huge incentive to go into the oncology field and try my hardest to find a cure for this terrible disease. No child should have to suffer through cancer. I truly believe that difference can only be made through your lifestyle, not just your statements. I want the difference I make to be making cancer an unheard of disease. To make the world a place where children don’t have to suffer with it anymore. :)

Well.. My name is Hannah! :) I’m 20 years old. I’m currently in school to become a Pediatric Oncologist. I’m extremely close to my family. My dad is my hero. He passed away fighting in Iraq this past year. I have great friends. I consider myself extremely blessed. I’m engaged to my *other* hero! He is my best friend and has allowed me to live my own real life fairytale. I love him so much! And I’m so excited to start planning our wedding :) I’m a simple girl and I’m just enjoying the beautiful life that God has blessed me with!
