Steph, I haven’t had chemo or rads since a month before the surgery in December 2007. I had seven weeks of chemo pump and seven weeks of rads, five days a week, simultaneously. Then a month to cool off before my surgery, called an esophagogastrectomy. It was a new treatment tested out through the Minnie Pearl Cancer Research team. My docs had been in on the trials and after the success of the trials applied what they learned to me. All at Florida Hospital Cancer Institute. What a great team.
