Sunday, February 22, 2009 @ Lake Eola Park, Downtown Orlando
Thanks to everyone for their support!
Know Cancer hosted our first Community Awareness Fair, Sunday February 22nd at Lake Eola Park!
We partnered with some of the most informative and influential organizations to heighten cancer awareness in the Orlando community. Local organizations provided attendees with information on warning signs, screening tests for early detection and overall cancer prevention. The day was filled with tasty treats, raffles, arts and crafts activities and live performances from local talent. It was amazing to witness the Orlando community come together in the fight against cancer!
Big thanks to all of our Supporters and Participating Organizations!

12 year old Inspiration
We were fortunate to meet and hang out with someone very special…Grafton Roll! This young inspiration wrote and read a passage for his mother who is currently battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It is based on the “I had a dream” speech by Dr. Martin Luther King. Not an eye was dry on Lake Eola…see what he wrote about the “Eradication of Cancer”:
